    I love it. It's way better than the first season thus far, and I rather enjoyed the first season.

    Be sure to watch the "Short Treks" too. Saru's is kind of important and, while not entirely neccissary, gives some extra backstory that ties in with a couple episdoes (including last night's).

    Tilly's Short Trek was great, and I hope we revisit that.

    I feel lucky that it's part of my cable package in Canada. This CBS deal in
    the us is bad bad bad. Streaming is getting worse than cable.

    Still, it seem easier with this season. I know they try to fix stuff to reconcile this series with canons, still don't like the warp field.

    Yeah, breaking the prime directive is nothing new that we've seen. And as Picard once said, he did it "because it was the right thing to do!"

    Either a) they're hemmoraging cash, or b) wanting to try out a new billing model. I don't know if it's working, I don't know of anyone who's raving about any of these "freemium" web streaming services.

    AMC is trying to get people to pay for commercial free, early access to shows on their service. Too bad they waited until The Walking Dead's 9th season to roll it out!

    I've seen a lot of people online defending it being shown on CBS streaming with arguments like "You pay for movies in the theater, right?" or "It's only
    $6 per month" etc.. But I'd rather not have to pay for another service just for one TV show. I don't really mind there being commercials if it's over the air - maybe I'm just used to that.

    I don't have a premium TV service either.. Most of what I watch on TV is over the air, and I do occasionally watch something on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

    That's an easy one it's all about the money and what a great way to roll in the dough so to speak by taking advantage of the many dedicated trekies out there

    thought about subscribing to a service but I would have to be a member of
    at least 3 different ones in order to see the shows I would want to watch
    on them. That cost would add up over time.

    It is cheaper to wait until they come out on DVD.

    I guess just one service and show getting money per view your show bring.
    Would force them to make quality, something they don't really try to.

    I agree. And which ones are the good ones and the bad ones are all subjective too. I also don't really understand why it would be more advantageous for them to have a show on the paid streaming service vs. over the air, since over the air still generates revenue from commercials/ads.

    I haven't watched season 2 yet, but in the original movies, they brought Spock back in The Search For Spock after he had supposedly died in the previous movie.

    I've only watched S02, so I don't know when that doctor guy, but I guess the Klingon Spy dude did the deed, and as soon as that guy returned via cocoon travel I just got those Sci-Fi shivers like, "Yeah, that was a bad move..."

    At the very least he's not gonna be into his partner anymore, as to why we'll probably have to wait a few Eps.
