my favorite decades. Yeah, think of BBSs like Facebook, but everyone connects to the same computer, and typically instead of millions of
users there's like hundreds or maybe thousands.
A lot of older BBSs had message networks like "FidoNet" (Google it)
where like once or twice per day the BBS would send messages posted and recieve new messages from other BBSs, so in that way you might read messages on the same subject from people all over the world. (sound familiar)
Now a days BBSs are still a thing, some are basic, but most of them
easily let users "dial-in" over the Internet, play games, post messages
or chat.

This is exactly how I find BBSing today. I missed it back in the days as I was too young to still see it anyhow valid.
But I remember internet from 95+ with usenet, irc, muds and being elite all there just if you could access these services from unix/linux shell with proper toolset to proove that you actually *know* how to use the internet, not MIRCing around and being constantly "nuked" if on Windows 95.

Internet was also all about files and simple hypertext focused on
manuals, simply speaking knowledge. I was downloading knowledge... or
of course warez.

Thanks! by the way, i'm interested about the offline readers, can you tell me about that? because i use a limited 4G data plan to connect my computer and i don't want my data ran out because my computer was doing background downloads while connected to the BBS
Well you don't have to worry about background downloads with a BBS. That
Thanks, Gringo, Do you talk Spanish? i make that question because "Gringo"
Thank You! i heard anbout of FidoNet in classes while i
attended High School, a teacher was talking about that on
a class of "History of Computers",
and, wll, i was borned in 1999, but i don't know why, i
LOVE the 80's/90's, i collect various things from that
decades, in fact, i am the only person in my neighborhood
with:
-A VHS Player
-A Beta Player
-a Stereo system (With Vinyl-cassete-DAT-CD and AM-FM-LW-SW Reciever)
-A LaserDisc Player
-And a computer still running MS-DOS 6.22
some of my neighbors HATE me because i usually put one of
my best vinyls or cassetes on saturday-sunday morning, but
i do that as payback, my neighbors listen Reggaeton and
other kind of music called "corridos", from Mexico, and
don't let me sleep well
also sometimes i host a type of party called "80's Party",
just with friends and some members of my family, all acting
like we are in the 80's, also dressing like on that decade,
but i stopped hosting that since the COVID-19 Pandemic
well,
anithing you want to talk, i'll be here for a
looooooong time Greetings!

BBSes were still around that you could dial into in 1995.
I had just started running my own dialup BBS in 1994 and ran it until 2000..

You had a very informed teacher if they mentioned Fidonet! :)
