Well, I've had a breakthrough. I've gotten it to work with doornode - https://github.com/dinchak/doornode - and for those of you on a Pi or in Windows 64 bit struggling to get dos doors working, I recommend giving this a shot.
Furthermore, I've been able to create a local environment where I can generate key files for Darklands. Hit me up if you want to get rid of the annoying nags and long pauses.
Nice. Doornoode seems to fit the bill for a bare-bones doorserver situation. I'm going to give it another look for my Pi4. Any setup or optimization tips? Have you configured any other games?
Yes, please. I'll send you a Netmail.
It took multiple tries for me to get it to work, and frankly I'm not sure what exactly I had to do to make it play nice hehe. Perhaps a
combination of things. Not sure.
My issue with Doornode currently is that on game/dosbox exit, the user isn't returned to the BBS. It just freezes, on all games. I'm on RPi4/Buster, running both Mystic and Doornode. Did you experience this, Ryan?
