Within 40 nautical miles in SE quadrant
and within 30 nautical miles in SW quadrant.
FORECAST
Maximum winds to 40 knots near the centre easing to 50 knots by 0000 UTC 19 January.
Winds above 48 knots within 15 nautical miles of centre with very rough seas and heavy swell.
