Take a look at Tek Savvy. teksavvy.com. I considered the switch before
I did it and haven't been disappointed.

I was with them for years and years here. Unfortunaly when Rocky
retired the company went down hill fast. They kept lowering my speeds
from what I wanted to the 6mb package, I would call sit on hold for 4-
6 hours to be told Bell must have done it. Charge me $150 setup fee
AGAIN to raise the speed back to 15mb, then a month later it would be
    6mb again.

I'm with Acanac since 2009. They were the first DSL offering in my rural area. Setup was super easy after they sent a preconfigured modem/router.
At that time they boasted speed above 10Mbps DL

But apparently Bell controls the speed and limits everyone below 6Mbps.

    Acanac's lowest $ offering is:

    Unlimited
    15Mbps
    1Mbps Upload
    $39

..but I am only getting an average 5Mbps/.5Mb UL/DL.

I am only one block away from a main Bell switch!

Some people I know who live in the outskirts 10km out are with teksavvy
and they are getting a good 10Mbps/1Mbps DL/UL on their old landline converted to a dryloop. Apparently there is no industry charge for maintaining dryloop; I did not know this.
