- If you want to order online, I've set up a Shopify site (I have a $29.99/mo subscription for another side-business) using printful.com as
a fulfillment vendor. At the link below (password protected!) you can check it out. I'd recommend NOT ordering until I've had a chance to inspect the quality--I ordered a test shirt today. I will continue to optimize.

That sounds a bit steep for phone. For that cost, you's probably get a half decent bundle here. :/
That's not far short of my $99/month for unlimited Internet at 100/40M
from a premuim provider plus the $5/month for landline (actually VoIP)
with 18c untimed national calls and some freebies thrown in.

$80 is the basic price for a live landline for business/commercial addresses. There is only one phone company in Canada that "owns" the lines and installation services. There is no additional charge for
local calls.
However, I can choose any other company for the Long-Distance services
and DSL internet - which I do. DSL Internet is pre-paid for a year in advance and that is coming up next month again! :( Long-Distance is
pay as you go at under 3 cents per minute in North America. With
people using their mobile phones now, MANY of those destinations are considered long- distance. :( But it's usually just a short call to
let them know a Special Order has arrived.
Unlimited 100/40M is incredible. I only get 5/.6M for about $35/mo or about $420 for the year at the shop. I could probably kill the POTS landline service and go VoIP. But I really hate the quality of VoIP
that I encounter when people with VoIP call *me*. There is almost
always a perceived delay lag in the call. Sometimes I can hear my own voice in the background. It's just terrible.
Futhermore, I like the idea that if the electriciy goes out, I can
still complete a debit/creditcard sale (using a UPS) or make a normal phone call if there is an emergency.
I suppose that $99/mo serves you well for streaming video in the

The debit/cc devices are generally connected to the LAN and use the internet to connect to the payment service provider. But sometimes
when the electricity goes out, so does the internet. Even the nearby
cell towers could be affected. A mobile alternative would not help in
that case. But the debit/cc devices can also include a wire to the
POTS.
During an outtage, I've had situations when customers can't use their phones anywhere, and my neighbor retailers can't process a sale. But
my system keeps chugging along using UPSes to power the computers and
LAN equipment as the debit/cc device automatically switches to
completing a sale using the POTS backup.

Also,
https://libro.fm/ashlies - available to anyone.
https://anycard.ca/store/ashlies - suitable for anyone who wants to shop locally.
BTW, Libro.fm (unlike the Audible, or Amazon's version) is completely
DRM- free and the files are available as direct .mp3 files that are
yours to keep. I store mine on a USB stick and I play them through my
TV. You can also suspend the membership to avoid the auto-monthly
credit charge and you can reinstate at any time.
That sounds like a good deal, if audiobooks are your thing. DRM free is
a definite winner! :)
I discovered that I could "borrow" audiobooks from my local library on their website. I'd have to use a program called OverDrive to download and play them.
Just like a regular library item, you had a time limit and it would automatically "return" the item in two weeks. You could go on and extend it if no one else had a hold on it. (Even though it's digital, they can only "lend" out a certain number of them at a time... licensing is weird)
One day I got curious and went into the OverDrive downloads directory and sure enough, it was just a folder containing the MP3s of the audiobook. I fired up another music player and it worked. Copied them to my phone and hit play, and it worked. DRM free audiobooks from my local library.
Since then, I just "borrow" a book, copy the MP3s elsewhere and
immediately return the book so the next person won't have to wait two
weeks for me to finish with it.
Ah.. so although the chekout process kept track of your loan, you were able to listen (and "own" for repeated listens and an extended period) without impunity? Sounds like someone misconfigured the tracking
system. Milk it for as long as you can. However, some audio material is copywrite free; maybe you are getting those?

I read a story about libraries and DRM - it seems like one of the publishers licensing schemes required their e-books to be "repurchased" after something like 17 checkouts.
The publisher had come up with a scheme where you'd have to replace the
e- book as you would a physical book due to wear and tear.
Librarians were up in arms, saying they could keep a book going for hundreds of checkouts before giving up on it. As someone who worked in
a library through high school, I can attest.

being used is limiting the Libraries to a specific number of checkouts
at a time (whatever the library can afford). In our libraries case,
thats 5. So .. she gets put on a waiting list for up to 2 weeks, and
is then able to read the book on her tablet. Sounds about like the library experience. But had no clue they were charging more after a specific number of checkouts. I hope ours opens up again soon so that service goes away.
