From Avon@21:1/101 to All on Sat Nov 7 14:11:09 2020
    Hi there

Both the inter-bbs games For Honour(FH) and Galactic Dynasty (GD) have been reset and new versions hatched out.

    Here are the details

    GD

Moves from version 1.1.1 to 1.2.1
Game ID moves from 82 and is now 85
You need to update your software to the new version hatched out and run a reset.
I have sent copies of the CFG to all active nodes.

    FH
Moves from version 1.2 to 1.90
Game ID moves from 22 to 25
You also need to update your software to the new version hatched out and run
    a reset
I have sent copies of the CFG to all active nodes.

Please update your software and check configs... and good luck in the next round of gaming!

Not sure why you guys are getting that error, but to fix it, on line 24
    of build.sh change it from:

    gcc -o ForHonour main.o interbbs2.o otherplaces.o inih/ini.o MagiDoor/build/libmdoor.a -lsqlite3 `pkg-config --libs lua5.3`

    to:

That seemed to work here. Just make sure there is a space before the -lm at the end, or you'll see another error. :)

Perhaps, it seems to be distribution specific though, libm is a dependency of lua, and pkg-config pulled it in on opensuse (what I was testing on) but
    debian didn't.

Ideally I'd figure out a way to use cmake and have it build everything.

Actually, I am mistaken, I'm using pow() in for honour now. So yes probably best to re hatch. I must not have tested it (on linux) after making that change, I thought I had.

    Hi there

Both the inter-bbs games For Honour(FH) and Galactic Dynasty (GD) have been reset and new versions hatched out.

Avon, I did not get the game reset(s). However my .CFG is showing Game ID is
85 I also did get the file hatch for GD and FH

On FH the new Game ID is showing correct.

On upgrading, I tried to just copy the file *.EXE, *.DLL and *.ANS Once I did that both GD and FH game would not run.

Is there a procedure on how to upgrade?

Usually I just copy the files over but don't overwrite my config and ini files...

I need to do Agency, let me check and get back to you if I have issue also.

I did find my batch file for GD needed tweaking

Set up a menu option to run your game. Here's the example from Agency BBS

Display Text │ 1 - Galactic Dynasty (fsxNet)
    LightBar Low │ 1
    LightBar High │ 1
    Hot Key │ 1
    Access │ s20 Up │ 0 Escape │ 0 Display Type │ Access Down │ 0 Tab │ 0
    X Y │ 0 0 Left │ 0 PageUp │ 0
    Timer │ 0 Right │ 0 PageDn │ 0
    Timer Type │ Interval Redraw │ Yes Home │ 0 End │ 0 Command ────────────────── Access ───── Data ─────────────────────────────
    (D3) Exec DOOR32 program c:\doors\galatic\start.bat %Pdoor32.sys %3 %0

The contents of start.bat looks like this

    c:
    cd\doors\galatic
    GalacticDynasty.exe %1 -N %2 -SOCKET %3
    GalacticDynasty.exe maintenance
    cd\mystic
    mis poll 21:1/10
    goto done

    :done

It's the same kind of setup for FH

Although it will work, if you're using door32.sys, you only need to
    supply the dropfile.

If you are not using door32.sys, and need to supply the socket you need
    to run it like this:

    GalacticDynasty.exe %1 %3

    Where %3 is the socket.

There is no need to pass the node.

This is the same as forhonour

After coping the files like Avon said, the game still would not load with the this as the call .... GalacticDynasty.exe %1 -N %2 -SOCKET %3, so I changed it to GalacticDynasty.exe %1 %3 and the game loaded just fine .

Avon, Can you send out a reset for GD once again, my game did not reset, however I do have the new CFG showing Game ID 85 and was able to get it upgraded to 1.2.1

I can try, I am having issues sending out resets. I don't think I have ever
had joy with FH but some success with GD. What I end up doing when I send the CFG files is I manually edit them to include the current game id that is running at the time I send the CFG files out.

I have just removed a node from FH and re-added one to GD so will be sending out both CFG again soon.
