• Toss income files to downlink per points

From Sneaky@21:1/152 to All on Sat Nov 28 13:47:15 2020
    Hi All

I would like same help with the filebase tossing files to downlink (points)
I have the echomail working fine as point butnow like to do the filebase

in mystic configeration and in the file base setting is fsx_node export to set to go to node I want it to go to in mailin.in it has

; Processes .TIC files from incoming directories and move/upload files to the
; appropriate file bases (optionally creating them). Files are then tossed
; to the fileboxes of all downlinks connected to the file base.

and set it up the setting to do this But it doesn't send the file to fileboxe that I have set in mystic configeration for c:\bbs\mystic\filebox\fsxnet\3rd\

thank you for the help with this

In each of the echomail nodes you need to have a Filebox Dir set, it needs to be unique for each node. Also set the use filebox setting to yes.

That looks good. You can use either as long as it is unique for each node.

and filebase is export to 3rdchoicecore.ddns.net:24557

My export says a node number.

is that close, I do I have that wrong

I think you have it now, whenever you toss files your point should also get those files along with tics.

but thank you for your help anyway.

You also need to connect the file areas to your point. You can do that from mystic -cfg in the echomail nodes setup or you can send a netmail to filefix from your point to add the areas.

Once those areas are connected you should get those files on your point.

May I ask were I do this in 3rd choicecore.ddns.net 21:1/152.1 echomail nodes setup
in mystic I have looked and looked but I could have that wrong or wrong place

or you can send a netmail
to filefix from your point to add the areas.

I tried this, but this part must not be setup right either

Once those areas are connected you should get those files on your
    point.

    ok, well keep trying

If your boss is Mystic you can check what file areas you are exporting in the echomail nodes setup. Go into the points entry in echomail nodes and trye /F. If there is nothing listed there add any areas you want to recieve on your point.

or you can send a netmai to filefix from your point to add the areas.

I tried this, but this part must not be setup right either

Yep, you'll want to make sure these nodes are connected and working. Did the netmail request go to the boss and if so what happened? You may need to get the details out of the logs.

Your mailin.ini looks OK to me and I can see from your log that it is tossing files into your BBS but it isn't tossing files to your point. There must be some reason for that.

If your logs are not already set to loglevel 3 try that, at least until you solve this issue. Sometimes a higher log level will give you clues as to what is or isn't happening.

Also, be sure the filebox directory for your point exists, I don't think mutil will create it and if it doesn't exist it will fail. Watch out for typo's. ;)

    Hi Al

One last suggestion, go into the file areas you want exported to your point and make sure your point is listed as an export.

Ok in my Fsx_node mystic file area export setting is
    3rd Choice Core (Disp) 21:1/152.1
    I sure that right

    Again Thank you

    --------------- MUTIL v1.12 A47 2020/10/31 Mon, Nov 30 2020 (loglevel 3)
    + Nov 30 07:26:23 Startup using hatch.ini
+ Nov 30 07:26:24 Not sending to links; this system is hub

I think that is your problem. Is this filebase set to FileEcho Hub?

I have never used that option and don't know how it works. I would only set that if you are hatching files in that area. We don't need to do that in this case, we just want to toss files to linked nodes.

I see your logs got very verbose.. :) You can go back to loglevel 2 if that fixes the problem.

    Ttyl :-),

Yes , setting the filecho hub to no fixed it for me and now working great, will
    save me same time.

Okay I understand that, but works for what I want it to do.
