Checking my AlphaTest BBS setup to see if it gets out. It hasn't been getting stuff in since late August 2020 - not sure why yet. Just starting looking
in to my point systems since my main BBS is pretty much up from the last crash. Pi's SD cards are prone to crashes and often are recoverable by a total rebuild (meaning the SD is still good just corrupt data). I used the recovery function to rebuilt it this last time.

Seems to be getting out OK. I hope your recovery goes smoothly.

Oddly the line spacing is all messed up on the original from my hub. I looked and it's OK on AlphaTest (point 2), but not on my hub. I'm writing this on
the hub itself to see how it looks. I've been getting a lot of messages with really weird spacing between lines and am wndering if it's my hub or
something between versions of Mystic (A46 & A47 alphas). So this should be 6 and now 7 lines in a row with no spaces, but we'll see ;)

    Hello,

I'm seeing a lot of oddly spaced lines in messages, are you? I'm typing this
as all one line and letting the BBS wrap it. I'm just trying to figure out where things are going wrong and leading to multiple blank lines between what
I type or read. I'll likely try to start building a new hub with A47 this weekend as the current one doesn't seem to want to upgrade. I have a 32G microSD to start on (Sandisk) so that should be a good one. (this is Line 8;)

There was an issue with long lines being truncated at around 256 characters when g00r00 made an important change I think in the A45-A46 time frame. Is that what you are seeing?

If you are running a prealpha it is a good idea to keep that prealpha updated as g00r00 makes changes. The current A47 is in pretty good shape based on what I have seen.

If you are refering to odd blank lines on messages, I get those as well.

I think BP and/or Al and zi'm sure some others saud it had something to do
with something I can't exactly recall what, but it should clear up
if I upgraded to the latest pre-alpha. Unfortunately I flubbed that process somehow and the BBS locked up when I tried to log off, so I staryed over
again with the version I had originally, because I'm too chickenshit to try that again yet.

The above is the way it showed up on my BBS. That is what I mean by weird
line spacing. Yes I think it's likely due to 256 character lines with no
enters (one big line). When I type and hit enter at the end of the line rather than letting it wrap. It's wrapped lines that were the problem like above.
I suspect g00r00 has fixed it as things look better under February versions
of A47 (at least under Linux on Pi & PC). This is from the Pi A47C of 2/12.
The message I see in my logs is v1.12 A47 2021/02/12 as my version.

There seems to be some blank lines in there for some reason. I have not seen that on my Mystic BBS.

Yes I think it's likely due to 256 character lines with no enters (one big line). When I type and hit enter at the end of the line rather than letting it wrap. It's wrapped lines that were the problem like
    above.

Those long lines are fairly common. I know that my BBBS writes outbound messages that way and so does golded and any number of other softwares.

It's also fairly common for BBS software and I think QWK readers to wrap message text, usually at 80 characters, so a BBS has to deal with that one way or another.

I suspect g00r00 has fixed it as things look better under February versions of A47 (at least under Linux on Pi & PC). This is from the Pi A47C of 2/12. The message I see in my logs is v1.12 A47 2021/02/12 as my version.

Yes, I think that has all been dealt with. I haven't seen any issues with that for some time. The issue you are seeing with blank lines is something new that I haven't seen. I wonder if that affects Mystic generally or if it's just the Pi version and what causes it?

If that is only happening on the Pi version then it's something g00r00 might need to know about, but I'm not at all sure. Input from Pi users would be good.

That is the same version of Mystic I am using, the linux 64 version here and everything seems good to me.
