I love that something that brings me SO MUCH is ran on something so minuscule. Thats literally what does it for me. :P
In my case it's way overdone. I've spun up separate boxes for Usenet server, Agency BBS and Games/Usenet HUB, fsx + fido HUB ops, audio
playout (for my LPFM station), audio STL link and streaming.
My plan is to merge things down starting with some of the BBS stuff as I migrate stuff (slowly) over to this new Linux box I have set up. First step is to get down from 5 to 4 then to 3 then :)
Ahhh, I had thought you were saying that all your BBS stuff was on one small device upstairs - at any rate, I do love that older hardware can do so much of the majority of what I enjoy with computers...
I'm quickly getting into video editing, tho, and that is a different story.
Last, I'd like to mention for all the new sysOps that... its worthwhile to THINK about your /directory structure when starting a BBS. I didn't.
And now, like you I wanted to draw everything down to its simplest form, I want to separate my /file/areas/directorys and my /mystic... and its a b***h. :P Think that thru when you begin, however, and you'll find things a lot easier.
I want my /files on a separate HDD so that Mystic backups take up much less space and I deal with the /files in some other way. I'm quickly getting to 4TB - which isn't too nice to my TINY Raspberry Pi NAS. :P
Cheers...
