I'm forking the thread here, hope you don't mind. I worked out how to
get it running with Synchronet. I started reliving my BBS days with
Mystic but found Synchronet filled my needs differently.
-+- Synchronet setup ---
Unzip to Synchronet BBS xtrn directory, e.g.:
C:\sbbs\xtrn\galdyn2
-[START.BAT]-------------------------------------
@echo off
C:
cd \sbbs\xtrn\galdyn2
GalacticDynasty2.exe %1
Command Line GalacticDynasty%. -D %f
Quick tip: you don't need the batch file:
Start-up Directory ../xtrn/GalacticDynasty
Command Line GalacticDynasty%. -D %f
Just so you know, the most recent version of Galactic Dynasty (and
Galactic Dynasty 2) no longer use the -D before the drop file.
Okay, cool. What version number for Galactic Dynasty would that be? I
guess I
need to upgrade.
Are you including an install-xtrn.ini file now? That should make it a
piece of cake for Synchronet-sysops to install correctly and quickly.
I don't know about this making things easy for sysops :P it should be
hard! Isn't figuring it out half the fun?? (J/K)
