• ANSI-BBS Client for iPad

From alisha@21:1/220 to All on Tue Apr 13 10:29:39 2021
    hi to all,

Do any of you know of an ANSI BBS client that runs on the Apple iPad? I also tried ANSI terminal yesterday on Android device before I buy an Android
tablet, it doesn't work cleanly either. Because there are no cursors implemented and the Indexed Message Reader function needs the cursors. So now
I am back to square one and would prefer to use an ANSI BBS client on the
    iPad I currently own.

    Best regards

    Alisha Manuela

You're welcome, paulie420. Adding to the list consists of it's webmaster downloading updated bbs list. Or You telling me what bbs would You like to
    have there.

Yea I very much appreciate you adding my BBS like that. I try really hard to get my advertising out there, and its been paying off so - thanks to folks like you who push BBSing in other ways than I... I'm happy to be on BBSHUB.ORG.

One question/suggestion/thought. I was just telling a user of mine about this option and he asked a smart enough question... is there a pop-up keyboard? This would be a nice way to view BBSes quickly and easily on an iPad - or similar....

But then he asked how would he type ESC-twice. :P

Anyway, thanks for the add - I really do like the service.

when You open the page. There is a small circle in lower left corner. If You click it You get the menu. But right from the small circle there is a
rectangle (left from SAVE). If You click into that rectangle You can use the keyboard on mobile / tablet. The page then translates the keystrokes made
into that rectangle and sends it to the BBS.

But then he asked how would he type ESC-twice. :P

:-] On Android I'm using keyboard program that has ESC. On iPad... sorry, I don't know much about it. The page is tested on my Android and when You
select some narrow font (from the menu brought by the circle in lower left corner) it happens to fit on the screen.

Hope that helps. Thank You for You interest.

    Best regards

Thats great, Shinobi - I think theres a great 'market' for tablet/phone users - which you probably know... when I showed a friend they were head over heals about having that EASY option on their iPad. I will tell them about the keyboard, if they haven't already figured it out.

Really nice - thanks, and I'll attempt using it on iPad/tablet too.

It helps - I'm gonna do some testing and I'll let you know soon what the iPad experience is like. I know a bunch of users that would like that option; as much as I DON'T. :P Well.. would be nice for when needed; some users need more than I. THANK YOU.
