• Logging Options

From Jeffs@21:1/128 to All on Fri Mar 15 23:54:13 2019
    Hello There,

In the latest Mystic release. Is there an option to set MIS
and the BinkD server logging level to debug? I am doing some
compatability testing and could make use of a higher logging
level. I see a "Logging Options" under servers but that feature
looks to be empty or for future use.

No not as yet. That feature was enabled briefly but seems to be off at the moment. As far as I know Jeff only g00r00 can enable it in his code when he builds a release... so sorry about that. :(

Darn. I contacted the BBBS author and he asked me to test the connection behaviour of BBBS and Mystic and how they ack when making and ending a
BinkD connection. The current situation is that when BBBS polls a Mystic system.BBBS gets stuct in a "Polling Loop" and will continually pool that
same Mystic system until manually terminated. The area that Kim is interested
in is how BBBS and Mystic interact in that part of the connection process.
I should note that the polling loop exists when BBBS is polling a Mystic
system but not the case if Mystic is polling a BBBS system.

I have both the newest releases of BBBS and Mystic installed on separate
Linux PC's which would provide for easy testing.

Yep, If I had the ability to enable it at the HUB I'd do it for you to help debug this. I'm sure in time I will be able to :)

Say I am not getting any joy at polling you at your new domain name. I have emailed you about this.

    You and me both .:-)

Yeah... My Bad. This PC has Linux Mint installed and I installed Mystic. I
was unaware that BinkD looks to be installed by default. Earlier I noticed
that myself when polling Mystic. Turned out that BinkD was installed but
wasn't installed to and loading from the normal location. As soon as I seen BinkD I knew what the problem was. Just had to track it's location down and remove it. The problem should be resolved. Sorry for any confusion.

No it already logs all of the BINKP session in its entirety I believe. I do have a "super ridiculous debug log level" that is not something that can be turned on, but its so insane that it makes no sense to anyone anyway lol
