    g00r00,

Had I hope a quick question, what are the requirements for mystic/python. I have been able to get it working for linux desktops with a gui but those
which do not do not seem to work. I check the logs and always error (216)
but those are just the message base reading one's only.

I am testing from A39/Linux/x64 both Debian and Ubuntu server editions, no
    gui just command line.

    Thanks!

The requirement is a Python 2.7 installation that matches the bit of Mystic. But you may of course run into more issues that have nothing to do with
Mystic if you are say running a 32-bit Mystic on a 64-bit Linux.

Nah this was not the issue I did several tests on linux and every time the Desktop editions would work with 64 bit installs for all. The server
editions with no GUI seem to be missing something during install why I was asking for the suable requirements outside being the same version. =D

    Thanks!

Yah I don't know. There was someone who was having the same crash a while
back with MPY that access message bases. It sounds like the identical thing, but we were never able to track it down to anything in particular.

It might just be the way that Python is compiled for those versions, I don't know. Are you saying that if I were to download a specific Linux distro that
I could probably reproduce the issue? That would be a good start for me, as I have never been able to reproduce it.

That might have been me. Mystic and Python are both 64bit here for certain (there's no 32bit software on the system at all) however the machine I'm running this on is a chimera often used as a testbed for experiments, particularly for kernel security, so I don't usually give it too much thought if some edge case breaks something. It's expected that some software won't appreciate the oddball settings.

I remember I did manage to narrow down that the crash was occurring in the msg_seek call in msgread.mpy though if that's of any use for Pequito's situation.
