All grown up and ready to go dancing: Mageia 3 is out!

We still can't believe how much fun it is to make Mageia together, and weΓÇÖve been doing it for two and a half years.

For people who can't wait, get it here; release notes are here. To upgrade from Mageia 2, see here.

Before we get to the rest of the information: we dedicate this release to the memory of Eugeni Dodonov, our friend, our colleague and a great inspiration to those he left behind. We miss his brilliance, his courtesy and his dedication.

For those interested in Mageia Linux, Mageia 3 is now out. The following is
    the
release announcment from the Mandriva Blog site: -----------------------------------------------------------

I've had Mageia 2 (running xfce) running in VirtualBox. I have to say I've been impressed thus far. It's on my shortlist to replace Mandriva 2010 when I do update my system, and I think I'm leaning in that direction.
