    I'm not sure if this would be of interest to anyone here but, there's a
    project at http://www.qb64.net/ that looks interesting. It has QB 4.5 and qbasic compatibility, although they seem to feel the need to port libraries to it.

    Yes I downloaded and installed the package a few weeks ago. Been many years since I coded anything so I am starting from scrtach again but it looks good and I am having no problem with it to date.

    That's good to know! The last BASICs I worked with were C64 and Apple IIe.
    lol! Was thinking about trying my hand at QB, and this might be the best way since I am running Win 8 64-bit.
