I currently use Oracle VirtualBox, using XP, and have had no problems. I use the VirutalBox to run a radio re-broadcast server and a BBS and have had no issues. However, when I had the same setup under VMPlayer, I had all sorts of issues.

Wild, my board ran under VMWare Server for a number of years without issue (until the system crashed, and my vm image seemed to be partly corrupted).. One of these days I'll get it back up again.
