    Hi All,

Is there a Backbone.Zn (where n not = 1) file in existence? If yes can I get a copy? Maybe someone (a Host) could make one by exporting an Area list from an existing app? Format not critical :)

    Hello Ben,

Is there a Backbone.Zn (where n not = 1) file in existence? If yes can I
    get
a copy? Maybe someone (a Host) could make one by exporting an Area list from an existing app? Format not critical :)

    Sure.

Since no private elist/echolist has any official status in Fidonet,
feel free to write your own.

    Here's your first entry -

    Description:

This is the Fidonews Echo. Area tag: FIDONEWS

    Moderator:

The Fidonews editor, as listed in the nodelist and in the banner of
the most recent issue of the Fidonews weekly publication, is the
    permanent moderator of this echo.

Oh. One more thing. This echo is not limited to zones outside
of zone 1. It is quite inclusive. Isn't that amazing? After all,
there is only one Fidonews/editor/moderator/nodelist. And you know
    what that means ...

    Have a day,

that area is a FDN so you could easily have it delivered to your system when it
    is updated ;)

My bad. The above should read "a(sic) FDN is?".

I *do* know that English proper does not rank high on the US school agenda, but 'a' vs. 'an' really does not depend on spelling but on pronunciation in English proper. I.e. eff dee enn.

One reason I like this echo is that the participants' ability to speak
and write in English is better than that found in many if not most US publications.

Since I started dialysis on Jan 26, I'm stuck in a reclining chair for
four hours a day, twice a week, with nothing to do but watch
television. I can't read a book because I can't use my left arm or
hand (if I do it sets off an alarm on the machine). I don't know about Europe, but daytime US television is HORRIBLE. I wish I could sleep.

would a Kindle or other eBook work? You should be able to use one with one hand.

Might be time to discover podcasts, if you haven't already. They're a great
way to make use of otherwise idle time. I love listening to podcasts on my commute to/from work, makes better use of sometimes 2 hours a day.

Best of luck to you and your treatment.
