From shinobi@21:1/153 to All on Thu Feb 21 02:06:28 2019
    Hello All,

today we live in exciting time.
    Computer became the very core
of our society. And mobile phones
    our third hands.

What this post is about is a way
    of mobile bbsing.

I'm writing this from Android phone
connected to Mystic BBS. Able to
    change client's encoding, download
    files.

The used bbs terminal is qodem.
The used terminal emulation is qodem.
How to do that is not that difficult.

There is a Termux emulation available
at the store. The prreqs are elinks,
automake, git and clang. Afterwards just
changed the branch to 1.0.1-dev and cloned
    the repo.

During the process I used ./config --help
and according to the options I disabled all
the options that would prevent qodem to have
unneeded options. SDL, gpm, serial, upnp all
    isn't really needed.

In current state the makefiles in dev are somehow
not valid. I had to fix it as follows:

    aclocal
    autoconf
    autoheader
    automake --add-missing

Then issued make. There was one trouble
in a file because it did't by default in
    termux environment and installed ncurses-dev
libs correctly recognized the cchar_t data
type. What I've done was to add:

    #define _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED = 1

to the failed file prior to includes.

The qodem compiled fine. And as this
test seems it worked. Well one more
thing. The Termux doesn't have fn keys.
So it's a good idea to grab Hacker's
keyboard from the store. And when there
is need for fn keys above the cursor
keys use volume up +0 to save the
    phonebook entry.

First attempt to write this message
failed. Just because I had to reconnect
with the backspace changed to ctrl+h
    instead default del.

And that's it. The qodem in Termux
solved my doubts about having to use
telnet and ftp from mobile. And instead
    I'm transferring files and correctly
    emulating ANSI.

Thanks for attention and have a nice day

I'll try to be less expressive next time. That's an old habit from time when there was no automatic line feed as mystic message editor provides. I guess

I was just too excited. Could be probably just because that was written after several failed attempts to compile qodem across several days.

    I know scrolling is boring.

    Best regards
