• binkp issues?

From Blue White@21:4/134 to avon on Fri Oct 12 00:51:12 2018
    Good evening,
When you get a chance, could you check your bink logs for connections
from 1/175 at 1/100? On my end, 1/175 is able to connect and transfer
with 1/10 just fine but when it connects with 1/100, it appears to sit
until it eventually times-out... or just sits and does nothing at all.

I don't seem to be getting anything useful on this end, so I thought I
    would ask.

    Thanks!

I do have various files, but none with the name above or that appear to be
from you. I will discuss with DM. I have never been able to find anyplace where binkit logs activity, so having your log will help (maybe). Thanks!

I get an abundance of log output in /var/log, most of it in messages.

Are you running SBBS daemonized? If not the only info you get will go to your console and if your BBS is busy enough you won't get much of a chance to look at it before it scolls of the screen.

I help Marisa with GameNet and she is the one who installed and updates that copy of SBBS and she has it setup that way (running on the console). It doesn't output as much info as I see in my logs in console mode although I have not tried upping the log level in sbbs.ini.

At times I miss having the console so I can see what is happening in real time but having the logs makes trouble shooting easier.

I run it in console. If it was not beta software, I might be tempted to change. However, I catch a lot of stuff with a console that I'd never see otherwise, and this is one example.

Did you make a change on your end? Now calls to /100 seem to work just fine, but now my last connection attempt with /10 failed. :)
