Has anyone been though some group communication style exercise that sees folks divided up into four different types represented by coloured dots?
I went through it today where I work. Not sure if it helped or created stereotypes of people in each others minds.

No, haven't heard of this, what coloured dot am I?

A combination of red and green would be my guess.

I think I've seen something similar on the Internet where you could find out what "colour" personality you were.

Yep it was like that. Not very detailed but rather a bit light and
fluffy. I was not sold on the time being well spent.
Those sort of things tend to have a hard time pinning me down. I don't always fit the assumptions these tests use. :)

The once over lightly system they used on us was about allocating
people to one of four communication styles... the associated colours
they used were red, blue, yellow and purple and it was suggested that these types were always present in all of us but each person would have
a weighting towards one or two in particular.
So yeah, it was interesting but not something I would hang my hat on or bet the house on :)
