    Hi

Has anyone played with one of these? I ordered a 512Mb one last week and
it arrived today. I'm really impressed. I installed armbian bionic, and
magicka installed just fine. It's about half the size, and half the cost
of a raspberry pi, but it doesn't have any video out by default, so you
can only use it headless. I believe you can get an expansion board to add video, or you could hook up a serial port, but SSH works just fine for me
    :)

I just don't have any kind of case for it :-/

I haven't had physical access to my pi since Jan of last year. LOL So
no video doesn't scare me. I'm going to look into those for something
    else I'm working on.

Drill some holes in a plastic coffee container and drop it in? LOL
My last OS/2 BBS server ran in a cardboard box for a case for 4 years.
    Pure lazy. ;)

Haha. I might have to turn in my man card but I don't actually have a
working drill. I did have a cheap one but lost the power charger.

I'd be curious how you go. I know there are a lot of Pi clones that come out
of China - I hadnt heard of this version of the fruit plate.

Do you have a Raspberry Pi that you can compare it too? I've always been concerned that these clones were not very good (I think they all come out
of China - Shenzen (I've been there, that's another story) and wasnt sure of the quality.

I like a couple of the suggestions so far. They actually make RasPi
cases that look like they are made of legos, so an actual lego case
would be pretty neat. If you work with sbcs and the small
accessories that go with them, you can also amass a few small but
fairly sturdy cardboard boxes that, with modification, would also do
    the trick.

I think that someone on here runs their bbs systems on a banana pi,
but this is the first I have heard of anyone using the orange.

That happens. The only drill I have left is a hand powered one that
belonged to my great uncle. For my uses it's perfect and no cords to
    lose.

Hah! My dad had (has?) one of them. Would be ideal. Can you still buy
    them?

I don't know, but I bet you could find one without a lot of problems at a
flea market or auction sale. They honestly work perfectly and you get a
bit of a workout at the same time. :)
