• Any anime / manga fans?

    Since we're all geeks/nerds I figure I'd ask...

Anyone here into anime / manga?

I'm not so much into anime although I do have a few series but mostly I'm
a manga fan. At the moment I've got around 900 volumes covering pretty
much every genre including Sh?nen, Sh?jo, Seinen, and Seijin. I don't
go for that weird hentai stuff..

    Some of my faves include;
    Vagabond
    Berserk
    Naruto
    Attack on Titan
    Kimi ni Todoke
the one that got me started was High School Debut... I don't mind a good romance manga :)

I'm not that across it but my teenage daughter is right into it.

I'm more your classic Tintin and Astrix kind of guy, chuck in any good sc-fi and I'm also a happy chappy :)

    Best, Paul

As is mine. Along with RoboTech.

I finally saw the Battleship Yamoto live action movie from a few years ago.

The made the gamalons out to be very alien, and changed a few other things. But for the most part, it followed the orignal pretty closely.

The Argo was the coolest spaceship for years in my mind, and the Wave Motion Gun still ranks as one of the most bad-ass capital ship weapons out there... --- SBBSecho 3.06-Win32

I've watched some of the older "mainstream" anime every now n then that I
think most hardcore anime fans would probably scoff at like akira, Ninja
Scroll and Spirited Away but I enjoyed them none the less.

I can't say I go out of my way to watch/read the latest and greatest but I
did just get back last night from watching Alita: Battle Angel and I very
much enjoyed it. From what I'm hearing it's a very good live action retelling of a manga series. And it isn't shoving an agenda down your throat so I can appreciate that. And I'm hoping we get more sequels to carry on this story.
