Hey y'all, how are your Sunday evenings going? Happy mothers day to whomever is celebrating it, Mums and Dad's that do the Mum job too.
Sat here listening to the sound track to Phantom of the Opera,
remembering some good times and singing along to it too.
Glass of red wine in hand also, just for good measure.
The weekend has gone oh too quickly, back to work in the morning. Roll on Friday night =)

Just made roast potatoes, lamb chops and brussels sprouts, waiting for
The Walking Dead to come on - it's the season finale.

I think our Mothers Day is celebrated in May over here and Fathers day in September. Interesting how those dates shift around the globe. Perhaps it helps the makes of Mothers and Fathers day cards to get their stock to
the marketplace in time! :)
It's only morning tea time here, bit too soon for me good sir :)
Monday is rolling along already here. I'll beat it into submission for you!

I'm off next week, we're going to take my daughter up to my family's
cabin and see if it's still in one piece. We have over 10 feet of snow,
so I'll be digging tomorrow night to get to the front door!
Not mothers day here :) (Phew, I was worried I forgot for a minute!)
But I probably should get onto it, I cant leave that responsibility to
the kids just yet...

Yum. :) And yes, I do love brussels sprouts. :) Unfortunately, they haven't become available yet this year.

I'm spoiled. I'm in agricultural country near the Pacific ocean, and
we have local brussels sprouts, asparagus, artichokes and citrus and berries most of the year. They sell brussels sprouts still on the
stalk at some places here, makes for quite an appearance.
That's very probable, in the US I think Mothers day is also celebrated in May, Fathers day here I think is June 16 (and I think it's the same in
Here (Taiwan) Mother's Day is the same as the States (I think?), but
Dad's Day is Aug. 8 because in Chinese "8-8") sounds like the word for "father".
That's interesting, does the same happen for "mother"?
No. Eight in Chinese is "ba", so "ba-ba" is a homophone of the Chinese equivalent of "papa". "Mom" in Chinese is "ma", but there's no
homophonous number.
