That's nice! I had a look at the connection stats earlier today and (thankfully) they seemed fine, i.e. no connection errors etc.
Have been working on my Mystic BBS events and poll/export scripts here,
so that polling for mail and exporting of echomail is not performed
during ZMH, but instead postponed to after ZMH (to be compliant with FidoNet's ZMH restrictions regarding echomail transfers). For the very unlikely case that such a poll or export would result in a modem call to an uplink bossnode, preventing someone else wanting to crash (net)mail from doing so. :-D

Been a long few days here. I'm still working from home but I think there may be movement towards asking us to come in a bit more in the coming weeks. My end of the country still has higher Covid rates than in other areas of New Zealand so I am not overly keen but if I must I'll go in but stick to wearing a mask for now.
My risk appetite is low as I have elderly parents I may need to visit / support again over the coming months as their health declines. There's few family near them so I am more at the front lines of care / response than others living further away than I, and that's fine.
At work our manager of 10 years abruptly left his role just before Easter. Our team found out one day before he left. We're now getting a new interim manager for 9 months who will develop new strategic directions for our team which may well lead to a restructure although no one is saying that yet. So understandably I and my fellow team members are all a bit nervous as to what is to come. Yet there's nothing I can really do so have to roll with the process and see where things end up.
