I plan to hatch out the GD game and will update the HUB. We also have
a new node joining up and I am still working on tidying up some
inactive nodes in NET 1. It's always a busy time to keep on top of
stuff like that.
Hope your day is going well wherever this may find you :)

Just sitting here pushing buttons on my keyboard and moving the mouse around a bit. Not really doing anything though.
Hopefully this new GD will work, but I'm thinking it might take a bit to make sure the new 64 bit ints for credits is working properly. Who knows.
It's ok, we had a rent inspection today. Wife had a blood test that took all morning (was a glucose test so apparently you actually need 3 tests with a sugar drink in between).
Not sure what I'm going to do the rest of the day. Wife went shopping after her blood test and got me kangaroo kebabs for lunch (yum) so I'll have to cook them, but after that. Not sure.
Hi Paul. I'm from your past. I'm calling from yesterday at 2100 hrs :-)
Enjoy your lunch.
Mick
I have (I think) never tried that meat, is it popular with the locals?

I'll walk off in to the future some more now... aka, should get off my butt and get some exercise / fresh air.
I hit a snag with the DOS bbs under qemu. There's an issue with
buffering, which presents itself when uploading files. The TCP side sends files way to fast for the serial side to keep up so it overflows and causes errors. Not sure how to fix that one.
Depends on the locals, in the cities it's fancy pants meat and sold a little bit expensive. Where I used to live it was the cheap meat.
It's very lean meat.
It's been a crazy week so far, worked a private job for a friend
yesterday then straight into training. Today shopping, and will be
doing some more moving of stuff out of a hall (hopefully that'll be the end of it), before my weekly massage. :)
Yes you should. Maybe I need to grab a javelin and chase you down? :D

Sounds busy indeed. That massage bit sounds good. I confess I have
never tried one. I guess I feel a bit self conscious about some person rubbing my back and shoulders etc. but I can see the appeal of it.

Nope I was good I got out and walked for about 45 mins around the city
and up into a town green belt. Photo on my Twitter feed :)

So instead I moved over to dosbox, which not only emulates a modem, its significantly faster than qemu, serial ports and tcpser (and no zmodem buffer issues).

We used to have a supermarket chain called Big Fresh here and I think
it was based in Australia... this was in the 1990s ... I worked in
radio and was on-air when the manager came in for an interview he
bought with him some kangaroo and crocodile meat to try... it was an exotic moment for yours truly :)

Life in lock down rolls along here we're two weeks into a total
shutdown of New Zealand asides pharmacies and supermarkets really.
Some essential services are allowed to continue but the list is super small and most (99% of folks) are staying at home in their 'bubbles'.
I have been lucky enough to work from home and the stress levels are
way up for everyone :(
Hoping to find some more time to come play in this sandpit again...
life is sadly being too short not to try and have some fun and
camaraderie when you can.
I hope you're well and safe at this crazy covid-19 time.

Do you live somewhere that you can at least get outside some without breaking any social distancing guidlines? It really helps that I am
able to get out in the yard or take walks around the neighborhood
without having any close encounters with anyone.

Some of my co-workers are having issues with that also. For the first couple of weeks, a couple of them were coming up with excuses to be

With that said, a lot of businesses have closed down the same other the essentials and those whom can work from home.

Weather is weird this year. It's snowing in Colorado, or was
forecasted to, and is 87 degrees in Indiana. Hope you got your walk in
.. it was too muggy here for me to do today.
The weather channel says it is smoke from wildfires burning in the US currently. We've had three large fires here about recently, one of them just south of town and it created a lot of smoke that probably went down south also. When all was said and done five homes were lost but those fires are out now.
It's currently Tuesday evening here. It has been 100+(F) during the day and close to 90F in the evenings here for months. But this morning it
was a relatively cool 82.
My fiance dropped her car off at the mechanic's this weekend (a long weekend in the US) but wasn't able to drop off the key, so this morning
I was able to go on a nice bicycle ride to deliver the key.
It must have been hot!

It's around 60F here and in our summer it might get up to 85F max.... so your place it HOT :)

The only time I can recall where I live was impacted by such things was last year when Australia had bad bush fires over their summer and the smoke drifted for days across the Tasman sea and ended up changing the colour pf the sky here for a day.
The whole day was around 50% darker than it should be it was very weird. Some days later reports started coming in of brown snow on the alps after the soot deposits from the same fires landed on the hills.

Mind you, I might be a bit of a curmudgeon on the topic, since I think
the entire concept is dumb.
I find it odd that people didn't learn from the previous gender-reveal party that started a fire (and I think I'd previously read about other such parties causing other fires, too, but don't see immediate data).

Some smart-ass took footage from the bay area and put in the soundtrack from Blade Runner 2049. Very effective actually.

Yeah, traditions used to be only 1 baby shower for the first child, not
business owner of the plane service have even agreed to drop that
chemical during that heat wave? Is he/she facing consequences? And
