• New Indexed Reader (M!) Error 216 on Unsub

From StackFault@21:1/172 to All on Tue Feb 19 20:04:29 2019
    Hi,

Looks like there is an issue when you batch unsubscribe message areas in the
    M! command.

Not too sure what are all the conditions that triggers it, but it looks like
if you stand on an area you unsubscribe and have the Subscribed Area view selected, when the unsubscribe action (CTRL-U) is performed and the list is refreshed, it crashes and exit with Error 216 in the logs.

Let me know if you need more details to reproduce.

    Cheers!

I regularly subscribe and unsub and its not crashing, so yes if you can give
me steps to reproduce something that would be helpful. It could be something specific to a settle or something too.

Please try with the latest A43 if you can.

While I research this I found another issue.

Using the latest build of this morning, I tried to add a new echomail address to my test setup since this test BBS doesn't have any message bases yet.

I've setup an echomail node and when trying to add an echomail address, it doesn't not save anything but the description. The address, domain and primary are not saved.

I will try to reproduce with local message bases in the meantime.

    Cheers!

I downgraded to the previous a43 and the issue is also present. This is a
clean install with no customization at all.

    Cheers!

Damn, my apologies, just forgot the first one was reserved for Local. It's
what happens when you try things in a hurry.

Please disregard and I will try to wash the shame away :)

    Cheers!

Are you trying to delete/replace/change the local address? You can't remove the local address and if you try to it won't save it.

Well, it was empty to begin with in a fresh install, so I tried to add a network address first. Maybe having something to tell this is reserved for a local address or something may be a nice-to-have for this. Maybe like a
    message popup when saving?

All in all, it was my bad in the first place.

Still trying to reproduce, but since it's a hit and miss, it's hard to reproduce consistently. And I don't have nearly as many bases on the dev
board than my prod one. This may also be a factor, I have over 2500 bases in prod.

If I find anything susceptible to help, I'll let you know.

Its labeled Local Address 0:0/0 in the fresh install.

I used to have something in giant capital letters there for a while, but it still didn't prevent people from trying to change it lol. I'll make it pop up a dialog box when you edit it that says you can only change the description.

My installation says not to change it. :)
