• Where packet came from

Hello. Sorry I've been away for a bit. Life is getting in the way of
    all my hobbies.

I've received a few echo mail packets and my system got backed up and I
just started importing them. I've hit a snag where some of them are
coming up with Invalid PKT password. Is there any way to tell what
system sent them to me? At least that way I would know who to contact
to see what the packet password is set to.

    Thanks
    Stephen

I think a packet viewer is something on g00r00's todo list but I haven't seen it yet.

Synchronet includes a packet viewer called pktdump if you happen to have synchronet installed. There is also a windows version available for download on
    vertrauen.

There is also pktinfo included with the husky package.

There is also inspecta, a dos and os2 file and archive manager that can read pkt's and give you some info about them. I used it back in my os2 days but I don't know how well it runs on todays OSs.

Thanks for the info. I was able to find out where those packets where
coming from and got my system fixed finally. Now it's tossing like it should.

    Thanks again
    Stephen
