Okay there hasn't been any change to Python so that would be odd.

Losing this hard drive and having to rebuild everything has pretty much cost
me my entire yearly vacation that I save up all year to take. Really sucks.

omg, sorry man. will see what else I can come up with the error 216 are from mail python issues only, using just mpy without interacting with the mail
    bases still works OK.

Should come to IRC sometime, irc.twinklebbs.net port 6667 #mystic

    Cheers!

If you do go down that path please try and post you're shared learnings here
as one benefit of echomail that I love it the ability to read a thread and
not have to be online to see it evolving real time as per an IRC channel.

That said you could almost argue with crash mail traffic in this IP connected world we're in the chats here are almost as quick, certainly more documented for those who read it later etc.

    I'll pipe down now ;-p

Agree on all counts. Echomail is a better medium for documenting learnings, and it's very fast these days. :)

Guys I am never trying to take away from Echomail, but IRC has reached some nice strides over the last 4-5 months when I built the server and some folks
do come to just chat. It's not really a learning center. But from both of
you it is more like you wish to discourage the use of IRC even though its
been around just as long as BBS's have been. =D

I can only speak for me and I'd made my points in my first post. I'm not
saying folks shouldn't use it but (for reasons I have already stated) I'm saying it's not as easy (for me and perhaps others) to be able to review a discussion that takes place dynamically/on the fly when logged in using IRC. Great if you're logged in to the server and watching, but a total miss if
    your not.

I'm glad the IRC is working out for you and those who enjoy using it.

Think it's more where I am. Might have to park an IRC client on the server. Sure I can use the Synchronet BBS (can't get the mpy version working on Mystic), but I will be a non responsive lurker that way.
