    Is it possible the directories (e.g. \binkd\outbound) just don't exist?

    I was able to reproduce those errors by setting my sbbsecho.ini->Outbound to a non-existant directory. Anyway, that's now fixed in binkit.js (it'll create the directory if it doesn't exist).

    You'll need to provide more details: the (debug-level) log output when BinkIT runs, the directory and filenames of the outbound that you think should be sent and aren't, the contents of your binkit.ini file.

    Hi

    You'll need to provide more details: the (debug-level) log output when BinkIT runs, the directory and filenames of the outbound that you think should be sent and aren't, the contents of your binkit.ini file.

    OK well im not quite sure what u mean by debuge lvl

    That you have LogLevel=Debug in your ctrl/sbbs.ini file.

    but the rest i can do
    right now and, i will find out the debug lvl but the other info u wanted is below.

    ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒&#9618 ;&# 9618;▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒&#96

    Something went wrong with your pasted data (most of it). It looks like maybe you tried to copy and paste screens from echocfg? Instead, just open sbbsecho.ini in an editor and copy and paste the contents (minus passwords of course).

    /sbbs/inbound
    /sbbs/inbound/secure
    /sbbs/inbound/nodes/15.0
    /sbbs/outbound
    /sbbs/outbound/nodes/15.0

    and the pkts that are not going out are being made are,

    5ab9c22d.pkt
    5ab9cfff.pkt
    5ab9dbe1.pkt

    the 3 files above where made and put into the dir of,

    /sbbs/outbound/nodes/15.0

    That's interesting. Do you have sbbsecho configured for BSO/FLO style operation? Are those netmail packets? If yes to both, then those files shouldn't be named *.pkt, but rather *.?ut. And there should be log lines in your data/sbbsecho.log file, like this:

    03/15/18 22:16:35 Adding NetMail (8.msg) to new packet for 1:103/13: e:\binkd\outbound\0067000d.cut

    If they're echomail packets, then they should've been either bundled (e.g. into an archive named *.mo0 or similar) or renamed to a *.?lo file as well. This entire file naming convention is documented here (I didn't invent it): http://wiki.synchro.net/ref:fidonet_files

    witch is where i have them set to go, so there being put in the right place at least for now as far as how i have it setup.

    [1:15/0@fidonet]
    Host=region15.net
    Port=24554
    Password=*******
    Poll=yes
    OutboundRoot=/sbbs/outbound/nodes/15.0

    that's an interesting choice of Outbound directory. If the directory matches sbbsecho.ini, then you don't need the "OutboundRoot" setting there (you can remove the line from binkit.ini).

    Now are you in zone 1 as well? And do you have a FLO (*.?lo file) file pointing to those packets?

    More info (e.g. sbbsecho.log output and/or binkit log output) is neeeded.

    bound node dir is not going, out and i have made sure that all the paths are right, so any clue y binkit is not sending out the file i have ran /jsexec binkit.js -p at a command prompt, and it says its calling out and all looks good as far as i can till, but its just not sending out the file, any help on this one would be greatful thanks.

    Terry

    I saw the same thing calling my hub when I tried Binkit.

    Does your hub happen to use Argus by any chance?

    and the pkts that are not going out are being made are,

    5ab9c22d.pkt
    5ab9cfff.pkt
    5ab9dbe1.pkt

    the 3 files above where made and put into the dir of,

    /sbbs/outbound/nodes/15.0

    That's interesting. Do you have sbbsecho configured for BSO/FLO style operation? Are those netmail packets?

    You didn't answer my questions above.

    If yes to both, then those files
    shouldn't be named *.pkt, but rather *.?ut. And there should be log
    lines in
    your data/sbbsecho.log file, like this:

    03/15/18 22:16:35 Adding NetMail (8.msg) to new packet for 1:103/13: e:\binkd\outbound\0067000d.cut

    If they're echomail packets, then they should've been either bundled
    (e.g.
    into an archive named *.mo0 or similar) or renamed to a *.?lo file as
    well.
    This entire file naming convention is documented here (I didn't invent
    it):
    http://wiki.synchro.net/ref:fidonet_files

    witch is where i have them set to go, so there being put in the right place at least for now as far as how i have it setup.

    [1:15/0@fidonet]
    Host=region15.net
    Port=24554
    Password=*******
    Poll=yes
    OutboundRoot=/sbbs/outbound/nodes/15.0

    that's an interesting choice of Outbound directory. If the directory
    matches
    sbbsecho.ini, then you don't need the "OutboundRoot" setting there (you
    can
    remove the line from binkit.ini).

    Now are you in zone 1 as well? And do you have a FLO (*.?lo file) file pointing to those packets?

    You didn't answer these questions either.

    More info (e.g. sbbsecho.log output and/or binkit log output) is
    neeeded.

    You didn't provide the sbbsecho.log output.

    OK here is my sbbsecho.ini file

    Inbox = /sbbs/inbound/nodes/15.0
    Outbox = /sbbs/outbound/nodes/15.0

    BinkIT doesn't support file boxes. Get rid of these configuration items.

    let me know if u need anything else and i will take the outbound line out
    of my binkit.ini file thanks.

    You could answer the questions and provide the log output. :-)

    Hi

    OK i took what u said to thought in most of the msg that i can member right
    now :(, and desided that since what i'm working on is a backup server
    right now,
    i killed the VM and started over with a fresh install of the newest SBBS
    for linux as of today, and set it up with no boxes just basic inbound inbound/secure
    and outbound, and is seems to be makeing the netmail backets right, i sent
    a netmail areafix to my host and it made the netmail packet to go out in
    the outbound
    dir as xxx.cut, so that working now but it still isn't going out the file
    is just sitting in the outbound dir, below i will put my current
    sbbsecho.ini and
    sbbsecho.log files as b4 and the log lvl is set to debug,

    For outbound BinkP connections, the log output is with your timed events - wherever that log output is going.

    For incoming BinkP connections, the log output is with your services - whatever that log output is going (each line will contain a BINKP prefix).

    Hi

    ok well im back to work on Binkit on my with system agian :), it looks like i got most of the errors out of it it seems to be calling out, and reciveing calls, so that something the prob im haveing now is its not sending out outgoing pkts/mail, the system is makeing the pkts and setting it to the outbound dir to go out but thats the far as its getting, i know i heard that binkit doesn't support boxes witch would be a nice option to have but thats another msg :), anyway i have tryed it useing boxes and not right now its set not to use boxes, and its still not sending anything out, now that the cfg
    has changed in how sbbs is setup if i need to post of send any files to
    someone let me know what files are needed im getting close here so any help would be very greatful, thanks

    Sincerly
    Terry

    Post the log output of a binkit call-out (the BINKCALL event) with Debug-level logging enabled. Your sbbsecho.ini file (with passwords redacted) could be helpful too.

    Hi Deuce

    I don't mean to bother u but I have a suggestion for Binkit, me and I know
    of at least 1 more sysop,
    im sure there are probably others will like to see another option added to Binkit, i have been working
    on getting it to work for months, and tonight i have figured out my prob, i
    was told a few weeks
    ago that this is probably the prob but i had hoped it wasn't, but the
    probly is that because of all
    the nets and nodes that i feed i use boxes for all my outgoing mail, and
    well once i disabled boxes
    on 1 net and reset the board a couple times it seemed to have started
    working, and i love how it
    works and DAMB is it fast, i would love to start useing it as my default
    mailer but i need to have
    the option to use boxes to make all the nets and nodes that i feed
    Organized, and i know of at least
    1 more sysop and there are probly more that will like to see that as well,
    but it seems to run great
    would it be posible to have box support added to it, it would make binkit
    even better :) just a thought
    thanks

    Terry
